PLEASE KEEP WATER RUNNING

The Makkovik Inuit Community Government is advising residents to prevent freeze ups to leave water running at all times.

Even during the warmer days the temperatures can drop rapidly in the evenings and freeze ups can occur when you least expect. The severity of each freeze up is different but taking proactive steps (leaving water running) will give you and the town an extra peace of mind.

There is a $ 120.00( plus 15% taxes) service fee for lines that require assistance in thawing out.

Thank you
