It is vital that the MICG have the cooperation of public to ensure that the Town Sewer System is protected, as well as your household sewer plumbing. Improper disposal of household materials and abrasive cleaning products can cause severe issues to the Town Municipal Sewage System. Improper disposal can cause over flow of our lift stations and blockages in the Town Sewer Lines.

The Makkovik Inuit Community Government still has Compost Tumbler bins for sale. The cost is $ 51.32 ( includes 15% tax). These bins retail at over $ 100.00 dollars so this is a great deal!

Outstanding Municipal Taxes 2024
If you are still in arrears of last year's Municipal Taxes, we urge you to make payments immediately as the DISCONNECTON DATE is fast approaching.
DISCONNECTION DATE: WEDNESDAY, JULY 02, 2025 AT 4:30 PM.
As per MICG's Policy, if last year's taxes are not paid in full by Wednesday, July 02, 2025 at 4:30 pm, your water services will be disconnected until it is paid. A $ 50.00 reconnection fee will apply.
If you would like to discuss your outstanding Municipal Tax Account with us, please feel feel to drop by during normal business hours( 8:30 - 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday).
