Public Advisory

Due to the ongoing repairs at the Makkovik dock by Budgells's Limited, there will be an increase in traffic at the dock site, and also the Marine Center where the contractor supplies are stored for transport.

As this is now a work site, for safety concerns, council is asking parents to speak with their children to stay off the Marine Center, unless he/she is accompanied by an adult.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding to this matter

The Makkovik Inuit Community Government still has Compost Tumbler bins for sale. The cost is $ 52.00( includes 15% tax). These bins retail at over $ 100.00 dollars so this is a great deal!

Did you know?

That approximately 1/3 of waste that an average household throws into their garbage is organic and can be composted.

Composting:

Creates healthy soil
Cuts down on space used at our local dumpsite
Cuts down on green house emissions.

Happy Composting!!
