Cpl. Irven Nochasak originally from Makkovik was honoured for his 22 years service with the RCMP on April 12, 2019 in Makkovik.

He has served at many isolated communities. He started his career in Goose Bay and continued on to Hopedale, Makkovik, Cartwright, Rocky Harbour, Cartwright , Mary's Harbour, and back to Makkovik.
