We're encouraging organizations to follow guidance from public health authorities at the local, provincial, and national levels.
As well as announced by the Prime Minister on March 18, 2020, tax filing season will be extended from April 30 to June 1, 2020. The deadline to pay any amounts owed has been extended to September 1st, 2020.

As per direction from Labrador Affairs Secretariat, Govt of NL, effective immediately Makkovik Inuit Community Government(MICG) will no longer be grooming the trails between Makkovik and Burnt Lake. This includes the traditional wood trail from Makkovik to South Brook.
MICG will be maintaining the local roads with Husky Snow Cat Groomer as needed( after storms,etc) or in the event of an emergency.
