The Community Employment Enhancement Program commenced today, November 25th, 2019. MICG would like to bring to public's attention, that due to Govt of NL guidelines, there will no longer be assistance with wood chores for Seniors and Physically and Mentally Challenged residents. The MICG would like to advise the public that the roads will have to be cleared from the dock to the stores until the last freight boat arrives.This is to ensure the safe transportation of supplies to the warehouse's.

Also, the airport requires fuel delivered which is essential so the road to the airport will have to be opened during this time and sanded if possible. (the sand/aggregate freezes in lumps) There are other domestic deliveries of fuel as well. The MICG will have to wait and see what the weather does in the coming days in this regard for snow clearing.
There are other contractors here as well doing work that is for the benefit of the community. Upgrades to the main ferry dock and power plant at NL Hydro. Heavy equipment will be needed in those areas.
