PUBLIC NOTICE

Today, October 29, 2019, the MICG Municipal Crew is excavating near the first fire hydrant house on Mink Trap Road by Donald Pottle's House to investigate a possible leak.

Please note there will be a disruption of water service to this road so please ensure you have some water done off for drinking, cooking and flushing the toilet.

Government of NL's Environmental Health Officer has advised MICG to put out a precautionary boil water advisory in effect due to maintenance/repairs to the water lines.

BOIL WATER ADVISORY

INFORMATION FOR THE PUBLIC

The Municipality of Makkovik has issued a Boil Water Advisory for the Community of Makkovik including the Advance Water Treatment Centre until further notice. The boil water advisory has been issued for the following reason(s):

D1: Water Distribution System is undergoing maintenance or repairs

Consumers are advised to bring water that you might ingest to a rigorous rolling boil for one (1) minute. For example, boil water used for

• Drinking
• Brushing teeth
• Making ice
• Making juice or other juice from concentrate
• Making infant formula & cereal
• Cooking
• Washing fruits & vegetables
• Coffee/tea & other hot drinks
