Position: Building Custodian Temporary-Full time Unionized position
Duration: Start Date: July 05th, 2019
End Date: May 07th, 2020
During the first week of employment, successful candidate will receive job shadowing with regular Building Custodian.
Qualifications: Successful candidate must have valid code of conduct.
Hours of
Work: 40 hours per week. Flexible Schedule however must be willing to work during evenings and on weekends , work around rental bookings. Gym cleaning is to be completed each weekday from Monday to Friday after gym closes. Building Custodian will be required to assist the Town Staff, as requested throughout the year with events,
Duties: Includes the following: Cleaning Town Office( must be flexible around meetings) Community Hall( must be flexible around hall bookings) Municipal Garage, Youth Centre, Fire Hall, Arena & Gymnasium( Note for Gym Cleaning: cleaning each night from Monday to Friday after gym closes which is normally 9:00 or 10:00 pm, Building Custodian not required to clean gym on weekends.). The Cleaning duties for the Town Office, Community Hall, and Youth Centre, Fire Hall, Municipal Garage, Arena includes (but not limited) to dusting, sweeping, and mopping floors, cleaning windows, washrooms, putting out garbage, cleaning tables and chairs, spring cleaning, waxing and other duties as requested. A complete list of duties is provided upon request.
Salary: Salary is $15.32 per hour plus $ 3.41 Northern Allowance and 4% Vacation Pay.
