The Makkovik Inuit Community Government is proud to announce the winner of the Makkovik Youth Centre Contest.
The contest began in January to uncover a fresh new name based on feedback from the youth. The winner was chosen by the Community Government with the help of a very respectable panel of judges known for their support toward improving the quality of life of our youth.
The centre will contain a multipurpose room for meetings, workshops, sports and games.
A lot of time and thought was put into the selection of the name and it was very difficult to choose just one as there were many good suggestions. In the end there could only be just one name. The winner of the contest is Stewart Andersen who submitted the Makkovik Hall of Youth.
Congratulations Stewart who will be awarded a brand new Ipod Touch 8 GB! The Makkovik Hall of Youth will be placed on a sign to be unveiled at the Grand Opening of the new facility.
