There is also a program called Community Volunteer Income Tax Program(CVITP). (https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/campaigns/cvitp-taxes-volunteers.html?utm_campaign=not-applicable&utm_medium=vanity-url&utm_source=canada-ca_taxes-volunteer) CVITP is a collaboration between community organizations and the Canada Revenue Agency. Community organizations host free tax preparation clinics and arrange for volunteers to prepare income tax and benefit returns for eligible individuals who have a modest income and a simple tax situation for free. There is free training, support and free software provided to all volunteers so it would be a great opportunity to give back while learning some new things as well.
